What about the stuff that should be in secondary markets now?
I recently sourced some obsolete hardware from a second hand dealer for $job and didn't find many issues. I think people is hyperobsessed with the lattest and newest stuff and old machinery is a non-factor for consumers these days.
This is, people has become so posh that they won't consider old components that are fine and available because they are not new enough or they can't figure out how to make something out of them. Meanwhile I installed a bunch of DDR4 ECC RAM modules on some servers of mine that I got for a reasonable price while everybody was poaching for DDR5 hardware.
Regarding the stabilization of videgame consumption, I think it has been a reality for a couple of years already, it is just that the press has not started covering it until recent times. I read not long ago that the median price customers are paying for videogames is down around 20% despite the fact videogame offer is more expensive. The explanation is simple: people is opting to buy affordable games they can run on their old machines rather than expensive AAA cruft that requires a 2500 USD machine to run.
